Private Classes

Basic Class

A 45 minute class composed of silent preparation, several basic yoga postures, restorative poses, and a restful finish. You will experience five minutes of silent time on your mat to prepare the mind and body for your practice.  A spinal warm up followed by classic yoga postures to promote balance of the left and right sides of the body will be performed.  After balance postures, a transition of poses to help strengthen the lower body and restore the tissues will follow. The class closes with a five minute period of rest, known as savasana. This class is an excellent choice if you are new to yoga and interested in learning about some of the basic principles of a yoga practice.  


Power Class

A 45 minute class composed of silent preparation, basic and advanced yoga postures, restorative poses, and a restful finish. You will experience five minutes of silent time on your mat to prepare the mind and body for your practice. A spinal warm up, classic and advanced postures that focus on balance, core strength, upper body strength, and inversions will be performed. After the balance and strength postures, a transition of poses to restore the tissues will be completed.  The class closes with a five minute rest period, known as savasana. If you would like to elevate your practice this class is a great opportunity to kick it up a notch!

 

Yin & Nidra Class

A 60 minute class composed of two parts. First, you will be guided through various restorative poses while lying on your mat. Each of these poses are are held for up to 3-5 minutes while using slow, steady breath to help reach the deep connective tissues of the body and restore their function. The second part of class is lying in stillness on the mat, known as savasana, while listening to a guided meditation. This class is recommended when the body is in need of a "reset".  


If needed, a limited supply of yoga mats can be provided by the instructor for class use.  During a Yin & Nidra class, personal pillows, small blankets and bolsters are encouraged for use to provide optimum comfort during the guided meditation.
