Establishing a yoga practice is a discipline but one you will come to love. Developing a practice will become a natural part of your routine once you begin to experience the benefits of yoga.
Each yoga class includes segments of meditation. Taking a few minutes at the beginning and end of class to quiet your mind will quickly become a favorite part of your yoga practice.
Just a few minutes of yoga each day can provide health benefits. Help prepare your body for the day with a few poses after waking up to energize and before sleep to restore the body.
Mind. Body. Spirit.
Treating the physical body is only one component of wellness. It is equally important to build mental strength through deep breathing and meditation to aid the body in the fight against illness and disease.
All ages and fitness levels can benefit from a yoga practice. Modifications can be made for all postures, but challenging yourself is encouraged to grow in your practice.
A little about me...
I began yoga with a two week trial pass at a local studio and I have been hooked ever since. I have now been practicing yoga weekly for almost five years. I have continued to incorporate many types of exercise; power walking, cycling, jump rope, and weights into my health routine, but yoga has become my steadfast weekly exercise of choice.
Prior to yoga, my stress levels were through the roof. I was 25 pounds overweight and I spent parts of the day walking around in a mental fog. After attending classes weekly for just a couple of months, I could feel so many improvements to my overall health and wellness. I knew I wanted to teach others about how yoga could improve their lives so I became a RYT-200 certified instructor in January 2021.
My goal as your instructor is to dispel the myth that yoga is all about flexibility. This assumption could not be further from the truth. I will show you how yoga can improve mental clarity through meditation, improve the range of motion in your joints, and build strength through a variety of poses. In time, improved flexibility becomes a natural part of the discipline, but it's not the primary objective.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions about how I can help you improve your health with the practice of yoga. I look forward to assisting you!
Namaste,
